Introduction and some SC2 replay

So like yeah. I am a geek. And I live in Stockholm. Even though I am not really from Stockholm. Lately I´ve been playing a lot more computer games than I´ve generally done in the past 3 years. When I was a teenager I played soooo much. Man, I hardly ever went outside if I was not on my way to a late night session of Perfect Dark, or perhaps a day of table top RPG playing.

Anyway in recent years I´ve been losing a lot of my nerd friends. I started DJ-ing and made more of like, hipster friends. Also I played in bands, I started Kendo, I went to law school. But after going to a local Gaming Café and trying out Starcraft 2 I was hooked. I bought myself a gaming laptop on an old credit card that I got after buying a sweet Gibson Les Paul. And suddenly I find myself with an urge to talk about Starcraft 2, but noone to talk to! My girlfriend thinks the whole thing is stupid, and compains that I spend too much time gaming. But whatever.
The forums have too many trolls, and so mych of the discussion just ends up stupid because of n00bs like me. So I thought to myself, a blog is the answer. And maybe it is the first step to getting more involved in the gaming world.

For this first blog I present to you a replay! It´s not super interesting but since my aim is to upload all my replays, here it is. I am a silver league Terran player that likes to play random in team games. I feel like my mid to late game macro is stronger than most of the players I face in Silver League, but I often have trouble with early pushes like the baneling bust.
What might be interesting about this replay is seeing an example of getting supply blocked at the WORST possible time and for a long time, during my opponents first push. I do get supply blocked a lot. I know the good tips from day9, check supply, money, minimap, and spam production building hotkeys. I have praticed it but it is not second nature to me yet.

Another thing that I find interesting about this replay is the not so effective use of Dark Templar by my opponent. I think many silver level players play like this. Overestimating some technique. Mass voidray in the back of opponents base, DT amongst the workers, proxy reaper rush, and so forth. Since this usually wins them the game these players just don´t practice the basics of the game. But I must admit, they probably have more fun than me while they play :) .

I have lots more to talk about, like life in Stockholm, maybe a little talk about music, and of course other games, but this post is becoming a long one. So I will just sign off.

Signing off.
